I’m Roddy Mackay, a freelance photographer based in the city of Inverness in the beautiful highlands of Scotland.

I shoot a variety of photography projects, both throughout the Highlands and often much further afield.

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve been fortunate to capture a range of projects, both here in Scotland, and in 42 other countries, so far!

My work is mostly shot in an editorial style, aiming to put people at ease, and tell stories of people and places at their most natural.

From my base in Inverness I work with a range of clients, both local, and those coming from overseas to spend some time in the Scottish Highlands.

Thank you so much for being the perfect photographer at Sarah and Rich's wedding last weekend!  You indeed were almost invisible in the house.. and you demonstrated an excellent sense of humour at all times.  Wedding photos can become very dull but you managed to make t fun.. It was a wonderful day from church service to the last bars of Auld Lang Syne, with a very very happy couple, and good intermixing of the two sides of the family. Even the weather was perfect! Thank you again.. your photography made it fun.. such a very rare talent.
