Photography of spaces and places

Inverness Interior Photography

Quality photos of your interior and exterior spaces help to make sure that your space stands out.

When you’ve poured in so much effort to prepare your space, having images that show it off at its best is equally important.

Whether you’re showcasing a hotel, a holiday let, a new build home or an architectural project – professional photographs can help ensure that your space, your amenities and all of the details are captured well.

Bringing Spaces to Life

I aim to shoot interior spaces with natural light where possible, with additional lighting used where needed, and where practical.

In addition to photographing interior spaces from a variety of angles, I’ll also usually aim to capture images of the details and amenities that make each space unique, and help to tell the story of the location.

Images are captured as raw files on professional Canon cameras, with editing then undertaken in a variety of software tools including Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Images are edited to reflect the tones and colours of the space and environment that is being photographed, to provide a range of images for use in marketing brochures, property listings or social media channels.

Capturing your space by Drone

Drone capture is an ideal way to capture your space from a different perspective, and is especially useful for holiday accommodation when you want to show off the location as much as the interior.

Frequently asked Questions

I’ve compiled a list of some of the questions I am asked most frequently, and the answers to those questions. Have another that’s not answered here? Get in touch, I’d be happy to help.

What’s included in your photography packages?

My interior photography work covers the shooting and editing time to prepare your images, with photographs then available to download via a private password gallery.

A travel allowance of 30 miles from IV2 4EF is also included with each project, as is an allocation of time to help plan your session to ensure we’re capturing images at the best available time.

How long does a typical interior shoot take?

A standard session usually takes half a day, depending on how many rooms or spaces are being photographed and how styled they are. For full properties, hotels, or commercial spaces, I’ll plan a schedule in advance to make sure we capture everything efficiently and in the best light.

Having a wider period of time to work with will allow images to be captured at different stages of the day and capturing the environment in different circumstances.

Do you offer styling or preparation advice?

Yes, I’ll be happy to where I can. Before the shoot, I’ll provide a short checklist to help you prepare each space. This includes things like decluttering, adjusting lighting, and setting up key features. On the day, I’ll make small adjustments to furnishings or decor if needed to ensure everything looks its best on camera.

Can you include people in the photos?

Absolutely, adding people can bring personality and context to interior spaces, particularly for hospitality and lifestyle projects. If you would like to, I can advise on how to style your shoot with models, guests, or staff members to show the space in use.

Do you travel beyond Inverness?

Yes. I regularly photograph properties across the Highlands, from Skye to Dornoch, Fort William to Aviemore, and occasionally further afield. Travel  of 30 miles is included from Inverness, and I’ll quote any additional mileage costs ahead of your session time.
