Scottish Highlands Couples Photo Sessions
Whether you’re travelling to Scotland to celebrate an anniversary, marking a special trip, or simply want beautiful images together “just because”, my couples sessions are a great way to see the Scottish Highlands, while capturing beautiful images to take home with you.
As a photographer based in Inverness, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, it’s my pleasure to welcome couples from all over the world who are visiting Scotland.
Once you book a session, I’ll help you explore some of Scotland’s most scenic spots, from lochs and glens to coastal cliffs, we’ll capture images in a variety of locations and I’ll also be happy to help advise on some of the best places to see, to eat and to stay while you are visiting.

My couples sessions are designed to be a laid back and enjoyable way to see some of the Highlands, helping to put you at ease while capturing some images against the wide variety of beautiful backdrops that the Scottish landscape offers, year round.
Before you travel to Scotland, I’ll suggest some locations and a potential route to explore on your photo session depending on your preferences, my experience of what tends to work best, and what the seasons are likely to offer. With the wide variety of Scottish weather, it’s always good to have a degree of flexibility with your plans, but with 20 years of experience I also have a wide range of places in mind that lend themselves to a great experience, whatever the weather.
Being based in Inverness, there are a range of great locations within a short reach of the city, and opportunities to capture images in a wide variety of landscapes. Those with a shorter timeframe to work with often opt to explore a session around the shores of Loch Ness, whereas those with more time may choose to head towards The Isle of Skye, passing the iconic Eilean Donan Castle along the way.

Elopement weddings are a large part of my photography workload in the UK, and I also enjoy spending a couple of weeks each year overseas.

Can we capture images for our anniversary?
Capturing photographs in the Scottish Highlands is a great way to celebrate a special anniversary.
Whether you are travelling into Scotland from overseas, or are living locally – there are plenty of new places to explore, with the seasons bringing ever changing views to the Scottish landscape.
A photo session can also be a great way to capture some images that you just didn’t have time for on your wedding day – when weddings are such busy days with so much happening, having the time to go out and explore in the landscape can be a great opportunity to visit locations that just wouldn’t be possible on a wedding day.
How long does a session last?
I offer a range of sessions, designed to help clients see as little or as much as they’d like during their time in Scotland.
Mini sessions are shorter sessions that take approx 90-120 minutes of photography time, with locations closer to Inverness.
Half day sessions and whole day sessions are also available, for couples wjho would like to get out and explore more of the landscape, with plenty of time and space to stop and explore in between.
Where can we go for our photo session?
Fron my base in Inverness I am well located to reach most parts of the Highlands, and I often do!
Local sessions often take place at the north end of Loch Ness, just outside the city.
I also frequently shoot at Fort Augustus at the south end of Loch Ness, or at Rothiemurchus in the Cairngorms National Park.
For those with a little more time to explore, a trip towards the Isle of Skye or Glencoe are highly reccommended.
