What types of photography sessions do you offer in Dornoch?
I offer family sessions, couples shoots, , small weddings and elopements, and commercial photography across Dornoch. Whether you’re visiting the Highlands or you’re local to the area, sessions can be tailored to beaches, woodland, the town centre, or nearby locations such as Dornoch Beach and Embo.
Where are the best photography locations in Dornoch?
Dornoch has some fantastic photography spots. Dornoch Beach is perfect for wide, soft-light coastal images; the dunes give great shelter on breezy days; the town centre offers characterful stone backdrops; and the links and golf course coastline have brilliant golden-hour views. I can guide you through the best options depending on weather, time of day, and the style of images you’re after.
How long does a typical photography session last?
Most family and couples sessions last around 90-120 minutes, which gives us plenty of time to explore a couple of locations and capture relaxed, natural photos. Wedding coverage varies depending on the day, but I’m always flexible and happy to create something that fits your timings.
What happens if the weather is bad for our photo session?
The weather on the east coast is often kinder than the rest of the Highlands, but if conditions look poor we can adjust the time, change to a sheltered spot, or reschedule if needed. I’ll always keep in touch beforehand to make a good call together. The dunes and woodland also give great alternatives if the wind picks up.
How do we receive our photos?
All galleries are delivered online in a private, easy-to-use link where you can download high-resolution files and share them with friends or family.
Can you photograph us on the Golf Course?
Yes, that shouldn’t be a problem. As long as you have booked to play on the course, I should be able to join you to capture some or all of your round. It’s reccomended to let the team at Royal Dornoch know when you book your tee off time.
