Daviot Steading Wedding Photography

Ever since Daviot Steading opened its doors as a wedding and events scene in Inverness, it has quickly become one of the most popular venues in the Highlands. Utilising the buildings of a previous Dairy, Daviot Steading has a range of beautiful architectural features including archways, a cobbled courtyard and beautiful stone walls..

With its location just a short drive from Inverness, Daviot Steading has the benefit of both being close to town and transport links while also having the charm of feeling secluded in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. The neighbouring farmland makes for a great backdrop for wedding photos, as does the long tree lined driveway that runs parallel to the venue - a great spot for shelter on a rainy day and shade on a sunny day.

Planning your wedding at Daviot Steading

Daviot Steading has a range of spaces available to help you make the most of your wedding celebrations including the Pagoda, The Long Room and an on site marquee. Each of the spaces has unique advantages and can be adapted to suit the cosiest of smaller weddings through to larger gatherings.

One of the unique aspects of the Steading is the on site accommodation which allows couples an ideal place to stay in the run up to your wedding celebrations and for an extended holiday post wedding. Each of the well appointed apartments is located around a shared cobbled courtyard and comes equipped with everything you’d need for a relaxing highland holiday.

In the Steading itself ceremonies and celebrations can be held in the Pagoda, a cosy and intimate space that can accommodate up to 50 for a sit down meal or approximately 100 for a ceremony.

The Long Room provides tall ceilings in the original farm steading and can accommodate up to 100 guests for a sit down meal, or up to 150 for a ceremony.

In the grounds by the Steading the marquee can accommodate up to 160 guests for a sit down meal with an excellent sized dancefloor offering a great space for the evening celebrations. When the weather allows, the side panels of the marquee can be opened up allowing guests to spill out onto the decking and outdoor area that includes a firepit and an enclosed kids playground - a great distraction for younger guests!

What makes Daviot Steading such a great wedding venue?

The team at Daviot Steading work with you to help you plan your wedding or event just as you would like. The balance of having an on site team to help take care of every aspect of your day alongside the flexible and varied spaces within Daviot Steading make it a really unique location for your celebrations and one of the few locations that has the level of flexibility alongside a dedicated on site team.

Lots of parking is also available at the steading, making it a great location for your guests who can simply drive up to the door (or be dropped off) and enjoy the day.

The range of different locations on site also offer great options to capture your wedding photography, with a variety of architectural and landscape backdrops to choose from. The treelined pathway along the side of the Steading is one of my favourite locations for group photographs with friends and family, while the cobbles, stone walls and archways of the steading provide great spaces for your couples photos. The Marquee with its vast amounts of natural light makes for an excellent space to capture all of the candid moments of your celebrations, from the speeches to the dancing and all of the moments in between.

Having exclusive use of the Steading is also one of its great advantages, once you are on site with your friends and family you know that you have this space to party away in privacy in your very own corner of the Highlands.

Alongside its proximity to Inverness and its varied natural beauty on its doorstep, Daviot Steading makes for an excellent location to celebrate throughout the seasons, from a summer Ceilidh in the marquee to a candle lit winter’s dinner in the Pagoda - Daviot has something to offer for every season and every celebration.

If you are looking for a venue that has it all, Daviot Steading is definitely one that should be on your list, get in touch with the team to see how they can help you.
