Scottish Whisky Photographer
Based in the Highlands, photographing throughout the UK
I was initially commissioned by Bruichladdich Distillery to shoot a new series of images to commemorate the launching of their new 10 yr whisky, 10 years after the distillery was brought back to life.
The main body of work featured a range of portraits of the distillery team in addition to a collection of images of the Rhinns of Islay where the distillery is located.
Specialising in observational documentary photography, I made multiple trips to the distillery for a variety of different projects, including shooting the new images for some of the Whisky tins for the Port Charlotte (PC) range.
As well as photographing within the distillery, it was also a privilege to shoot images of some of the people and places that influence the production of the Whisky and Gin that Bruichladdich produce, including many of the local farmers.
Since shooting those first images with Bruichladdich it has been my privilege to capture images for many of Scotland’s most well known distilleries as well as some of the newest. It has been a particular privilege to capture images for businesses at all stages of the supply chain, helping to see all that goes into supporting this most iconic of Scottish exports.
